It wouldn't be that hot. Someone said before I left there in the middle of the night for the fakir, the flight that takes me to my Italian job every other week.
It wouldn't be that hot.
I can't claim that I got more than a maximum of two hours of sleep.
So this morning my eyes were unusually cloudy when I got into the car.
Slept like a rock on the plane and was woken up by the man at the window who needed to go to the bathroom.
Deep down I probably wanted to say "but who needs to go to the bathroom on a two-hour flight"!
But did I? Nooo. You don't do that.
I was set for a hellish heat at work and I wasn't surprised.
But you know... now I'm getting acclimated.
I make the mental adjustment and I do it without a problem.
The new drop 2 collection is almost ready.
The samples are in the tailgate of the car. They will be fixed a bit tomorrow.
Then boomboomboom done.
The reward, tired as a run over eagle, getting into the car and driving home to Lajatico. And when I drive up the hills towards my village, the blood flows in my veins again and I see my smile in the rearview mirror.
Like a crush that just grows and grows.
My friend the restaurateur enticed with new truffles and homemade taglioni.
Oh my God. And then they sat me on the green throne with a lemon sorbet and a homemade limoncello.
Do you think I will fall asleep satisfied and happy tonight?
In my village on a hill in Tuscany.
