Yes, I understand. I too have to find balance in life. "She can't run around on her hill and have a good time like that all the time."
Nah. It doesn't work. So the day started with the washing machine panting. And then when I pulled down towards Florence for work, the car flashed and signaled
that there was alarmingly low air pressure in the left rear tire. And then when I came down to Florence, I felt that I would probably go back home.
Something was going on. I had actually intended to cozy up to it with a delicious meal at a cozy restaurant in the old town, but my gut told GO HOME.
So I did. Halfway home I ended up in the worst storm. Hailstorms, thunder, lightning crosswise (how is that possible?).
The roadway was covered with a thick layer of sleet. It was sort of out of the question to go in and fix the tire. I focused on getting home safe.

The last bit, as I ran through the slippery alleys of the city, there was a thunderclap that made me roar right out! Now I'm dying, I thought. But, yeah, no. I didn't do that.
Lightning charged down the valley and I threw myself inside the door. 5 minutes later the sun shone through the rain.

I am so thankful for the balance in my life. Order is restored. I understand. You can't have it too good. Meeeen...New washing machine will arrive later this week.
And tomorrow it will be gloriously sunny. Then life becomes so sick again. And the car is a rental car. If it's punk, they can pick it up.
It is certainly possible to get a taxi to take the wife to the airport on Wednesday. But if it storms in Copenhagen on Wednesday, I'll stay here.
Does not land in a storm. End of discussion.
