The smell of freshly cut grass lures me out of bed. I woke up too early. Took a hot bath. I was about to fall asleep in the bath so I got out of the bath, back into bed. Free Saturday in Tuscany. Life is NOW. Two hours of sleep later, I hear the lawnmower. Roberto probably thinks that it is now over for this morning... and of course he was right. What he doesn't know is that it's one of my absolute favorite scents; the smell of freshly cut grass. So many thousands of scented candles I made with that scent. Probably have to go home and make some candles... . Coffee, lemon water and the persistent wind over the hills wakes me up slowly. I go down to Certaldo today and get some garden tools, buy two nice artichokes and spices for a little herbed salty butter to dip the delicate leaves in. Slow cooking, my life here in Tuscany. Especially this weekend. Last weekend I ran around Marrakech talking to my artisans. This weekend is rest and a longing for a nice Easter in Österlen. . I'm also working on a really fun fashion project that you will all get to see in May. Life has to be fun or it's not fun at all. . Such a lazy day. Going to plant two lemon trees in my beautiful tamegroot pots. Just have to think about how big they should be and how we water them between my visits to the little house on the hill. . Warm hugs from a happy bean in Tuscany ♥️
