My gate with red silk ribbon

A gate. A gate cooked with red silk ribbon. A gate that symbolizes the greatest sustainable love of my life (except for my children of course); Life in Österlen.

How life became anyway. How I was attracted here 22 years ago by my great love and how not the worst impressed I was the first years. But somehow nested life in this mysterious country into my veins. The conversations were many about our large tobacco factory table in the kitchen with women and men who hung up with many different jobs to stay on the site. Dancers, artists, writers, inventors, apple growers, radio makers, actresses, singers, architects. So many exciting life. So nice conversations. I was curious. What is it about this place that does this with people who have had their career in New York, London, Paris, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Vienna…

Now I myself have become part of these lives. Now I myself have something to tell around the next big tobacco table one late night with the fire cracking and with our hands around an excessive wine that we together decided corka up ... but what the heck ... life is now. We're celebrating!

I have run my fun, my circus for many many years in several places in this mythical tract. Love has come and gone (and occasional mistakes have become friendly but definitely promised… 🤭) No one has so far understood that life in Österlen is so much about working hard, helping to carry firewood and lighting the fire, arranging the food for The day, cook the gate with silk bands and then most importantly - talk to each other and hug endlessly. One is associated with the other. Everything together becomes balance. Österlen must be deserved.
